Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Mission

Sponsored by the Central Government, this scheme endeavours to enhance the standard of primary education in all the 12 districts of Madhya Pradesh. It was introduced in January 2006 and is applicable till December 2010.

Prime Minister Rojgar Yojna (PMRY)

Sponsored by Central Government, this scheme endeavours to provide employment to more than a million persons by assisting the educated unemployed youth in setting up micro – enterprises. It was introduced in October 1993 and is valid till December 2010.

Deen Dayal Antyodaya Upchar Yojna

Introduced in 1993 and sponsored by the State Government, this scheme seeks to provide free treatment to patients belonging to the BPL strata, and is applicable in all government hospitals. It also endeavours to provide social security cover to the economically underprivileged in order to safeguard them from indebtedness arising out of illness.

Free medical treatment up to a limit of Rs. 20000/- per family per annum is available in all government hospitals. In case of critically ill patients, the limit is being extended to Rs. 30,000/- per family per annum.

Vivekanand Samuh Beema Yojna

Introduced in 2006 and sponsored by the State Government, this Scheme endeavours to provide financial security to the people of Madhya Pradesh. Application should be submitted to Mukhya Karyapalan Adhikari, Janpad Panchayat/Pariyojna Adhikari, Shahri Vikas Abhikaran/Zila Mukhyalaya. The scheme expires in December 2010.

Vijayaraje Janani Kalyan Beema Yojna

Sponsored by the State Government, under the Department of Public Health & Family Welfare, the scheme aims to provide treatment to all the Women of Below Poverty Line Families at the time of Pregnancy.
At the time of discharge from hospital Rs.1000 will be given to the women patient. If she expires within 45 Days after pregnancy then insurance company will give Rs.50000 to her husband or heir.
Introduced in May 2006, the scheme is valid until July 2010.

Rajiv Gandhi Udyami Mitra Yojana (RGUMY)

Sponsored by the Central Government, the objective of this scheme is to provide handholding support and assistance to the potential first generation entrepreneurs, who have already successfully completed EDP/SDP/ESDP or vocational training from ITIs, through the selected lead agencies i.e. ‘Udyami Mitras’, in the establishment and management of the new enterprise, in dealing with various procedural and legal hurdles and in completion of various formalities required for setting up and running of the enterprise.

To avail the scheme the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises should be contacted. The scheme ends in March 2011.

Kanya Saksharta Protsahan Yojna

A scheme by the State Government, it seeks to reduce the dropout rate and encourage the tribal girl students to continue their study.
Benefit of Rs. 500/- is granted to those girls who continue study in class VI, Rs. 1000/- to girls who get admission in IX and Rs. 2000/- to girls who gets admission in XI. Launched in January 2006, the scheme expires in January 2012.

School of Excellence for SC & ST Students

For meritorious students, schools of excellence have been opened by the State Government at district HQ and Bhopal HQ. Selected teaching staff is available for these students. Good environment and infrastructure with computer facilities are also available.
Admissions are given in 9th class to those students who are declared eligible in the exam conducted by VYAPAM. Launched in January 2006, the scheme expires in January 2012.
